Par for the course
Apparently it’s time for another one of my blog entries. I’m not saying Pie is holding a gun to my head (she has people who do that for her, blood is so hard to get out of fleece you know), but well….she is.
If you had problems breathing on Wednesday it was due to all the Liberals holding their breath waiting to see if Kerry would win. In fact to me it turned out pretty much how it looked like it would with Bush narrowly beating Kerry. In fact I think it was an election of people voting for somebody they liked marginally more then the guy they marginally disliked. Face it Democrats we need another ‘Slick Willy’ to grease you back into office.
I was saying to Pie how much I admired Carol Mosley. She knew she had no practical chance of winning but at least she tried to put a black woman on the presidential map which I have to take off my cap (I don’t really wear caps, I don’t have a hat head).
My band played a show on Saturday that seemed to go pretty well. Apart from Jeff’s wank fest and senseless blathering into the microphone between songs. He tends to take things to the extreme. We’ve been talking about trying to fill up dead air when people are tuning by jamming. Jeff took this to mean fill every millisecond of silence with noise. I pointed out to him it’s hard for me to play along when he’s playing in the key of noise.
The roofing company starting working on my roof yesterday. At 10am Pie and I heard something like a thump, followed by a scream. Turned out one of our illustrious roofers had fallen off the roof and busted his knee, which just fills you with confidence. These guys just seem to be loud and obnoxious which is odd if I think the lowly paid (probably) illegal alien workers who painted the house during the summer were always polite and usually pretty careful around the house. There is compelling argument for outsourcing apparently.
